SEARCH DOG'S RAVEN™ tells the Eerie Story of a Wilderness Search Dog Team.SEARCH DOG'S RAVEN: DESTINY Mikella's Scandinavian mother was an artist and a single parent when she arrived in the small town of Mountain Wind, Montana. She traveled half way around the world to meet a man she'd met on the internet. That relationship ended, before it really began, after she met and then married an aboriginal mantracker in 1989. Then in 1993, her car slid off an icy mountain road and crashed three hundred feet below.
Mikella was only seven years old and her new stepbrother Albert was four when their mother died. Growing up with prejudice, against their interracial family, Mikella developed strong bonds with her stepbrother Albert. Though their father was often away tracking criminals, both children were taught how to track and survive in the wilderness.
Young Mikella became so good at tracking, her father's father named her 'Dog's Raven'. He said this was because she was always nowhere to be found, and could find anything that was lost.
This often included Albert. The small shy boy spent most of his childhood being beaten up or hiding. Every day, after school, Mikella and the family dog would go find Albert. No one dared touch her younger brother once Mikella was around. Even when she didn't have her dog.
