While Mikella was training to find lost people, her stepbrother Albert began tracking criminals with his father. As it is sometimes, with fathers and sons, their relationship was strained. Even once Albert began proving himself. Then one case forever changed Albert's life. In fact, it continues to affect both he and Mikella to this day.
After ten days of searching, Albert found the mutilated body of a fifteen year old run away named Ronnie. The body was up on a cliff, freezing at night and baking during the day. "Even after being scavenged, you could tell it was a bad death."
Albert's father tracked the killer for months. Finding a track and then losing it altogether. Despite being impossible to find, he finally located John Bjenghz.
Shortly after, Albert and Mikella's father was injured in a mysterious accident. He later died of his injuries. Albert is certain Bjenghz was involved in his father's death, but local authorities continue to deny any lapse in custody.
